The new look.

It's all going to be happening in the next month. It's been in the works for the last several months, but is just now starting to all come together.

New logo and branding, new websites, Yes WEBSITES with an "S", meaning two websites....one for weddings, and one for portrait work. Also a new studio and a new blog (which is currently in the works right now:). It's a whole new look that I'm completely stoked about!

I can't wait to show you all when everything is completed. Oooh, it's all so exciting!!

Here's a few teasers:)

Published!

Sheesh! Thank You Latter Day Bride Magazine!

Headshots

Since when were 11-year-olds this gorgeous and sophisticated?

Adorable!

I should note that the fabulous headband in this picture was created by none other than Pandora's Box.

Some album pages....

Some of my favorite album spreads in Devin and Marilee's wedding album. Less is always more!

I like this one....

One of my favorite family pictures of 2007.

Latter Day Bride out-takes.

For my ad in Latter Day Bride this year, I concocted this shoot so that I could get some schnazzy pictures that would stand out. I wanted something kind of different so I had the model (my INSANELY gorgeous sister) wear a short wedding dress, with red shoes. She had a messy hair-do, and we went to a really ugly location. We spent three days prepping for the shoot (dress shopping, shoe shopping, location scouting, etc) and spent 20 minutes shooting. All in an effort to get that ONE sweet shot to use for the magazine ad. It was SOOO hard deciding on which picture to use.
All the details of the shoot were planned except for the little black farm cat that showed up and wouldn't leave us alone. We couldn't get him to stay out of the pictures, so we just decided to work with him. He was cute and we wanted to take him home after the shoot.

In the end, I chose this picture because I loved the quirky look of it. I loved how her feet were turned inwards, and she's kind of slouchy, and even looks a little bored. It's just hot!

p.s. Seriously, there is no one in this world who is more beautiful than my sister. Seriously.

Okay, just a few more.

Old film.

So I have loads of expired film sitting in my refrigerator at home. My husband was threating to throw it away saying "It's three years past the expiration date....you'll never use it....it's taking up the entire meat and cheese drawer." So rather than throw it out, I've been putting it to good use....or trying at least:)
If you've never had the opportunity to see Violet's buck teeth and "whispy mullet" in person, well....let's just say you are missing out:)
Look at her Naughty Face!!
The fatso, Sienna. I love her to pieces. All 110 pounds of her!

10 days old.

I LOVE LOVE newborn photography!

Holly's Bridals.

Our first shoot got cancelled because of a snowy blizzard. Our second time around we got kicked out of our first location, and the second location only let us shoot there for 20 minutes (they almost didn't let us shoot there at all)! But let me tell you, disaster never looked so good.....

p.s. Holly, you are amazing!!
p.p.s Thanks to Angela Fielding for helping me out SOOO MUCH on this shoot!
